Mombasa Kenya (mombasakenya.org) is committed to the restoration and conservation of the beaches and reef your night out sits beside. The same sand that hosts a sundowner bar is nesting habitat for turtles, and the creek beneath a floating bar is a living mangrove ecosystem — both easily harmed by litter, glass, plastic and bright lights.
Party with care: never leave bottles, glass or plastic on the sand, refuse single-use plastics (banned in Kenya since 2017), keep noise and lights off dark nesting beaches in season, and choose venues that manage waste responsibly.
